Hi, We’re Haringey Creates

We’re a partnership of schools, artists and creative organisations based or working in Haringey. We’re all about increasing access to high-quality arts and creative education and pathways for all children and young people across our borough.

Haringey Creates is Haringey’s Local Cultural Education Partnership.

A collaborative network of local schools, artists and creative and cultural organisations working together to improve access to arts and creativity for all children and young people in the borough.

The partnership is made up of Alexandra Palace, Collage Arts, Jacksons Lane, Bernie Grant Arts Centre, Groundswell Arts, Haringey Shed, Haringey Learning Partnership and Haringey Education partnership, Haringey LA and Streetz Ahead.

Haringey Creates has 3 main aims:

  • 1
Increase access to high-quality arts, culture and creative education for young people.
  • 2
Narrow gaps in opportunities so that access isn’t limited by background or circumstance.
  • 3
Use arts and creativity to boost wellbeing and agency, helping young people express themselves and build confidence.

Haringey Creates does this by:

  • Connecting schools with artists and arts organisations so children and teachers can collaborate creatively.
  • Offering professional development (CPD) for teachers and artists, especially to support the delivery of arts and creative pedagogy in schools.
  • Showing young people creative and cultural career pathways and encouraging participation in the creative industries.
  • Hosting events and summits that bring together educators, creatives and young people to share ideas and celebrate.

Core Values

  • We believe all children and young people in our borough should have access to high-quality creative education and opportunities

  • We recognise the power of strong partnerships to deliver change
  • We work closely with schools and alternative provisions, creative and cultural organisaitons and practitioners throughout our borough
